Blood’s splattered everywhere. Mountains of broken bodies and unburied bones litter the floors of a hidden estate. In a chair with his face half-lit by a swinging light, one madman sits grinning at it all: Mendelson. With stark, golden eyes and an iron grip, he barrels through Germany like his personal playground. His insatiable appetite, with razor-sharp wit and teeth to match, tears through everything and everyone he wants. As his hunger and fascinations grow, his extending shadow creeps deeper into Eastern Europe. With a swarm of henchmen under his wing and hordes of people in his debt, no one dares to speak up against him, much less stop his cruelty…except for one.

She’s been stabbed, shot, and beaten, but the half-vampire Hael refuses to die. Though she can’t recall her early childhood, her memory burns with the fateful night that she encountered Mendelson. Hellbent on seeing him put to ruin, Hael races through criminal undergrounds and Nazi occupied cities. While tracking her target’s body trail, this rouge teams up with other outcasts like herself. As she fortifies her new team, she learns that their lives have also been crushed under Mendelson’s hand. Together, with Hael leading the pack, they combine their talents and tricks to inch ever closer to their dangerous foe.

Hael pushes through the barricades of a world gone mad. With bullets flying and knives at her back, she’ll never give up, until Mendelson lies dead beneath her bare feet. Nothing’s safe from her fangs or fury. Not even herself. It’s a storm of monsters, malpractice, and madness. It’s bloody, and it’s here. It’s The Sanguinarian Id.

Swaying trees reach upwards into a canopy of endless night. As stars fade in a moonless sky, all sounds of birdsong cease to exist. The air turns cold and pierces the throat like frigid daggers. The pitch-black horizon stretches into an abyss, while an unholy groan echoes beneath the ground. The freezing earth cracks like thin ice. As all nocturnal life flee from the encroaching void, deep in the dark heart of Schwarzwald, one man stands smiling in the woods.

Surrounded by a legion of abandoned souls that tend to his every whim, Mendelson grips hold of everything he surveys. Greedy for power and more, he continues to sink his teeth into whatever catches his fancy, whether it has a pulse or not. As more people break and bend under his heel, one person stands in defiance.

Grasping onto victory, Hael locks eyes onto her target. Armed and ready, Hael travels into the hidden territory of her enemy’s hidden compound in Schwartzwald. With her loyal friends Josef and Fuki, they find themselves amid Nazi-occupied Alpirsbach. Though it was once a quiet town, the dhampir and her team stumble upon ancient treachery and secrets that deserve to remain buried.

As Hael and her crew weave their way through darkened alleys, Hael dashes back and forth from the forest to her friends. While under Mendelson’s leer, she senses his gaze watching her from the shadowed corners of the trees. However, as she thwarts his never-ending clutches, a sleeping demon awakens in her mind’s eye. With the support and plans from her allies, Hael pursues to rid Germany of this monster and his list of war criminals. But, as she puts down one tyrant after another, who will help her escape the rising dead of her sordid past?
